Business and Education Partnerships in Maine

• Maine Coalition for Excellence in Education
  A statewide partnership of business and community leaders that works to improve the education opportunities for students throughout Maine, MCEE is a strong advocate for Maine's Learning Results academic standards and is a member of the Maine Readiness Campaign. MCEE recently launched the Campaign for the Class of 2008, an advocacy campaign to ensure that all schools are aligned with the new standards by the time the class of 2008 graduates. While it is still in the initial stages of the campaign, it plan to utilize statewide forums, web-based resource, speaking tours, and direct mail to inform Maine's citizens about the new standards and readiness for work and college.
