Business and Education Partnerships in Michigan

  • Michigan Business Leaders for Excellence in Education (MBLEE)
MBLEE is an outgrowth of the education reform initiative started by the national Business Roundtable in 1989. It is a cooperative effort among leading Michigan corporations, the Business Roundtable, the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, the Michigan Department of Education and the Office of the Governor. The bulk of its work is advocacy and outreach to the business and education communities, based on commissioned studies on the state of Michigan's economy and workforce. MBLEE sponsors the Michigan Scholars program, with the Michigan Department of Education and the Presidents Council, State Universities of Michigan. It works on Just for the Kids and highlights the best performing schools across the state each year.
